Patch 2.45.3

The complete notes for this update.

New features

  • The Scenario page has been slightly redesigned: Visibility options now live in one side control panel, and published scenarios now get an Updates tab where you can post a written update without needing to publish draft edits.
  • You can now choose from a “My images” folder when picking a cover, which lets you reuse images you've already saved or generated. The picker starts with images from the current scenario or adventure, with the option to view All. You can favorite, download, and view details for each image.
  • After playing a Scenario, you can now see a quick option to rate it. Open More → Rate this Scenario to Like or Dislike it. Likes prompt you to comment; dislikes let you send private feedback to Latitude or report inappropriate content.
  • Scenario pages now show Actions and Plays instead of a Like count, and the thumbs buttons have been removed out the top bar.
  • Content cards now show Actions and Bookmarks only, with the Actions icon being changed to the ‘Send Action’ paper plane icon.
  • Reporting an image now hides it immediately for you on that device. It remains visible to other players unless moderation removes it.
  • New badges have been added to be used on your profile, including different-tiered badges for Player Actions, Creator Actions, and Subscription Length. You can show up to two badges on your profile at a time, not including the Subscription badge.
  • A new way to earn Profile Pictures has been added under Daily Rewards. You can unlock avatars by doing daily actions on AI Dungeon or Voyage.

Improvements

  • In Memory System → Context Length: with Optimized Context on, the slider and View Context now show the highest your context can grow before it's trimmed back. For example, it now reads 12000 where it used to read 8000. The amount of context actually used hasn't changed.
  • The Home Page prioritizes nearby content, and recent Adventures open faster with fewer loading transitions.
  • Creating a group message now shows friend avatars, display names, usernames, and clearer selection states. Selected friends stay visible while searching, and failed creation preserves your draft.
  • The desktop menu button now highlights while its panel is open.
  • Repeated or spammy comments are held for moderator review and you'll see a pending-review message. Posting too quickly asks you to wait, and temporary restrictions for abusive accounts only affect commenting.
  • Account emails, such as password resets, now clearly come from AI Dungeon and link straight back to AI Dungeon. Submitting a password reset can no longer send duplicate emails.
  • If you close a game with text still in the input box, it will be there when you reopen that game in the same browser. Drafts aren't synced between devices and are removed if you clear your browser data.
  • New accounts now start at Moderate content safety instead of Safe.
  • You can now change your account email in Settings by verifying your identity with your linked Google or Apple account.
  • Forgot password now opens with the email you already entered filled in.
  • When there is scheduled maintenance planned within 24 hours, a banner with your local time and a countdown now appears. During maintenance, an informational screen shows how long it's expected to last and links to our Discord. The app reconnects automatically once it's back.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a blank gap below the Android command bar after taking a turn, continuing, retrying, or erasing.
  • Fixed an issue where changing narration while applying a theme could leave the loading overlay stuck.
  • Fixed stray theme artwork beneath short Do and Say actions and flashing input frames when text wraps.
  • Gameplay Settings tabs now show an edge fade when more tabs are off-screen, with hover arrows on desktop.
  • Duplicated Adventures now start with zero bookmarks, votes, and comments rather than inheriting the original’s.
  • Fixed an issue where one creator poll could display another poll’s options or vote totals.
  • Notifications for deleted or moderated comments are now hidden from Activity and notification lists after they refresh.
  • Improved the unsupported-content dialog’s readability and scrolling.
  • The back arrow on Your Story So Far now returns to your previous screen instead of always opening your profile.
  • Covers generated within the Scenario now properly receive content-policy checks when applied. These checks count toward your daily upload allowance.
  • Fixed a bug where a lower context length you chose could be ignored during generation when Optimized Context or a model experiment was active.
  • Fixed Settings showing the wrong default instructions and context slider values for players in model tests.
  • Fixed published Scenarios sometimes showing other players unpublished edits to the Scenario's prompt.
  • Fixed creators being blocked from publishing when a moderator had locked their content rating.
  • Fixed the AI Dungeon app opening to a sign-in screen for signed-out players. The app now opens straight to play again.
  • Fixed the Home carousels reshuffling after you hide a scenario.
  • Fixed compact button labels not showing after canceling an action, and "Retry with changes" now fits on one line.
  • Fixed saved descriptions for multiple-choice options disappearing after you navigate away and come back.
  • Fixed profile text changing font when switching to or from the Updates tab.
