Improvement
Patch 2.43.10
The complete notes for this update.
Improvements
- What's New articles can now be found by search engines, with links between older updates and support for links inside an update's text. Updates also load right away instead of waiting for your account to finish setting up.
- You can now start and submit a story edit while the AI is still writing, instead of waiting for it to finish. The one exception is the output currently being replaced by Retry, which becomes editable again once that retry completes. Unsaved edits get their own floating Review and Discard controls, and your draft is preserved if something goes wrong.
- Gameplay buttons should come back about 0.85 seconds faster after generation.
- Advanced Filters now labels the scripted-content filter clearly as ‘Uses Scripts’.
- You can now tap or click someone's name or avatar in a direct message or group header to open their profile.
- Personalized recommendations in For You and the Recommended sort now lean on titles that are popular within your broader taste instead of only the closest niche matches, and they stop surfacing content nobody plays.
- The app store review prompt now waits until you leave the game screen, and holds off for the first 30 seconds after you open or resume the app so it never interrupts you immediately.
- Sign-in and sign-up error messages now explain what to do next instead of reading like something broke on our end.
- The "What's New in x.y.z" popup no longer appears after a release. The Patch Notes page under What's New still lists every release.
- What's New got a visual pass: one typeface, consistent icons, a tidier filter and status row, quieter cards, and "Mark all as seen" and "Alerts" staying on one line on narrow screens.
Bug fixes
- Buttons now show the pointer (hand) cursor on hover on desktop.
- The loading flame no longer lingers after a response has already arrived.
- Scenarios with an opening longer than 4,250 characters now start with their full opening text instead of dropping you into an empty adventure.
- On Android, the action bar no longer stops responding after you create or edit a story card then return to the adventure.
- Compact command buttons now draw their theme artwork correctly, without broken joins or pinched centers, and icon colors follow your theme.
- Scenario scripts can edit Story Cards on the opening turn again, and placeholder-randomizer scripts now fill in their placeholders instead of leaving raw markers in the text.
- A burst of direct messages or mentions now sends at most one push per device per conversation every two minutes. Product and creator updates are opt-in, while direct message and mention notifications stay on by default and comment notifications stay off.
- Connections now reconnect gradually over about 80 seconds during a server update, instead of everyone dropping at the same moment.
- Fixed a cause of repeat credit purchases being blocked as already owned.
- Google Play subscribers who upgrade mid-cycle now more reliably get the charge and credit grant for their first renewal on the new plan.
- Fixed the For You carousel becoming empty after muting or blocking creators or marking lots of content Not Interested.
