New features

  • You can now edit or delete your own direct messages. Edited messages are labeled, while deleted messages remain as placeholders so replies stay understandable.
  • Scenario scripts can now pin or unpin Story Cards by changing `storyCards[index].isPinned`. Pin-limit failures leave the Story Card unchanged.
  • Empty Scenario and Script tabs on your profile now provide clearer creation guidance. Scenario tabs include starter ideas and a ‘Surprise me’ option.

Improvements

  • First-time loading now does less startup work, helping AI Dungeon reach its initial screen faster.
  • Returning players can see a quiet "Last used" label on the Google or Apple sign-in method most recently used on that device.
  • The new platform navigation has been polished slightly, with more consistent top bars, tabs, drawers, dialog focus, and keyboard dismissal.
  • Redundant profile shortcuts to DMs and "Your Story So Far" have been removed, as they are now accessible elsewhere.
  • Profile badges have been polished: better spacing, hover behavior, and removal of redundant buttons/tips.
  • The web create-account screen now links directly to the AI Dungeon App Store and Google Play listings.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue that could cause a blank error screen when navigating to an Adventure editor.
  • Fixed several Story Card consistency issues. Badge counts now stay aligned with visible cards, deleted cards stay deleted after refreshes and scripted turns, and script-managed Story Cards keep their metadata.
  • Deleted, restored, and permanently deleted profile items now leave the current list immediately without briefly reappearing or requiring a refresh.
  • Rating explanations now open above the publishing sheet on mobile instead of appearing behind it.
  • Fixed pricing-page background stutter while scrolling, and removed the retired Sinister Test from the Shadow tier link.
  • Using action shortcuts like `!` and `/do` now no longer clear your input and attempt to swap you when you are already using the desired mode.
  • Action text now keeps the same font, size, weight, and clarity while being edited.
  • The themed Retry action buttons now remain visually connected across resting, hover, and pressed states.
  • Sign-in now hands off to the app without briefly flashing the sign-in screen again. Google and Apple sign-in also use a redirect in X/Twitter and similar in-app browsers instead of failing with a blocked-popup error.
  • Image generation models no longer show as degraded or unavailable on the status page just because a request hit a content filter.
  • Following or unfollowing a creator now updates their visible follower count immediately.
  • Leading newlines are now visible and removable when editing story text again.
  • Do and Say actions once again preserve paragraph spacing.
  • The desktop Complete Text viewer no longer stretches across nearly the entire screen.
