Improvement
Patch 2.20.6
The complete notes for this update.
New features
- The profile page design has been updated: it now features a top-focused design, with a cleaner interface, spacing, banner-support, and updated UX.
- Profile pages now support linking to your Reddit and Discord profiles. More link options possible in the future.
- Profile pages now support banners: you can choose between 6 free and 12 premium preset colors/gradients, with banner images coming as part of the Summer Jubilee.
- **The Summer Jubilee Shop is open now**! Every day at noon ET, a new pack will drop with three profile pictures and a banner, available for 24 hours. A link to the shop is accessible at the top of the Daily Rewards menu.
- Each Jubilee item has its own price, but the "Buy the Set" button gets you the full daily pack at 40% off. If you already own part of a set, you only pay the difference.
- Special rare packs are scheduled for Monday, July 20, and Monday, July 27, each featuring an exclusive AI Dungeon theme.
Improvements
- All site animations have been reworked to use less-intensive CSS animations rather than relying on React Native. The behavior should be visually identical, while reducing lag and improving framerate. **Please share any bugs you find related to this change to our Discord or Reddit.**
- Cover image upload rejections now explain which moderation category was flagged when that detail is available, instead of showing only a generic error.
- Mobile pricing pages are cleaner: bottom tabs are hidden, back navigation is more reliable, and text is easier to read.
- The Free trial FAQ copy now correctly explains that canceling a free trial keeps benefits active until the trial ends, with no charge.
- Scenario moderation is more precise for small edits to large prompts, reducing unnecessary full re-checks.
- The game screen should feel more responsive when typing, scrolling, opening menus, and using undo/redo, especially on phones.
- Gameplay connections are steadier, and no longer repeatedly reconnect during normal play.
- The AI Dungeon favicon is now much more visible on light browser tab backgrounds.
- AI Dungeon landing pages now show a more stylized loading screen on hard reload, and the footer Latitude logo appears again.
Bug fixes
- Scenario title searches should find exact/common-title matches more reliably.
- Mobile story editing now lets you drag the text-selection handles without moving the edit box or story scroller.
- Scrolling in an Adventure with the keyboard works again, including with arrow keys and Page Up/Page Down.
- “Rewind Story to Here” works again after double-clicking in the story editor.
- Doing rapid erases no longer leaves one action to reappear after a refresh.
- Editing a Do/Say action and clicking outside now saves the change on the first try.
- Turning Colorful mode off now correctly removes saturated story edit backgrounds without needing a reload.
- The AI Dungeon status page’s Scenario Rating indicator is less noisy and should stay green during normal operation.
- Long Scenario titles can now use up to three lines on their full-view pages, so longer titles are much less likely to be cut off early.
- The Creator Dashboard now loads “All time” and large date ranges more reliably. If the scenario table has trouble, stat cards and graphs can still load and the table shows a Retry option.
- Failed cover image uploads no longer consume a daily upload slot if they fail before safety classification. Uploads that reach classification still count.
- Publishing image moderation is less likely to fail closed when one classifier layer has a temporary issue.
- Firefox desktop no longer hides the lowest visible line in Story Card text boxes before the scrollbar appears.
- Free AI Dungeon users should no longer see an old experimental premium popup after loading the home page.
- Plans with no included context now show the model’s tokens-per-credit rate instead of a misleading full context limit.
