Improvement
Patch 2.0.0
The complete notes for this update.
New features
- Switched the app from Expo to Capacitor. This is a major architecture improvement and should fix many past issues. > More info here: https://latitude.io/news/dev-log-24-ai-dungeon-is-leaving-expo-behind
- You can now refer other players to the site using a link in your profile, and get rewarded when they purchase a subscription.
- Officially turned on the New Navigation, which has been experimentally tested in Alpha for some time now.
- Added all new clean and sharp icons in every part of navigation, as well as cleaner fonts in some areas.
- Added a button in the bottom navigation to easily get to your adventures (now called 'Saves')
- Separated the location of Saves and Scenarios.
- Removed the Trash shortcut; deleted items are now viewed through a filter option.
- Retired the profile dropdown menu, reordering the items there to accessible through clicking the Profile shortcut at the bottom. > More information here: https://latitude.io/news/updates-to-navigation
- The 18 default profile pictures have been revamped for everyone. You will still have access to the old profile pictures as long as your account was registered before today.
- 18 new profile pictures have been added for all subscribers, along with 18 more for Ultimate & Shadow Tier subscribers.
- Clicking on links to Mature and Unrated content now respects your Safety Settings, with a blur gate and a quick link to update those settings. Logged-in players without parental lock can still choose to ‘View anyway’ for the session.
- Added a new ‘Publish Status’ filter to the User profile, with an option to view Published + Unpublished, Published only, or Unpublished only.
- [Only In Beta] You can now view a preview of someone’s profile when you click on their name or avatar. A miniature card will appear showing that user’s name, biography, follower count, as well as shortcuts to follow, friend, report, or block them. > For more information on a lot of these changes, read our new blog post! https://latitude.io/news/introducing-voyage-expanded-beta
Improvements
- Updated our TOS to include Voyage as a platform, Multiplayer conduct, our new Referral program, and information on Community Creations. Also clarified certain areas like ownership and security, while cleaning up outdated information and links. > Read more here: help.aidungeon.com/terms-of-service
- Actions that require an account now give clearer next steps. Profile actions prompt sign-in, and blocked actions like follows, saves, bookmarks, and custom AI instruction set management now guide you to verify your email, instead of failing with vague errors.
- The notifications menu now shows full notification text, keeps Mark All As Read and See All visible, and lets you scroll through larger unread lists.
- Editing tools are easier to use: long text wraps properly in plot and story editors, Story Card Generator fields stop jumping your cursor during autosave, and editor scrollbars are more consistent.
- Scenario editors now more clearly separate draft work from the currently published version, with quick actions to view or unpublish the live version.
- Network failures now offer a Retry button.
Bug fixes
- Report an Issue works again and now returns a feedback ID after a successful submission.
- Multiple taps no longer start the same scenario more than once.
- If a multiplayer host has blocked you, you can no longer join their adventure by code.
- The ‘Reset Filters’ button now clears scenario-type checkboxes correctly.
- The filter menu will no longer overflow out of its box and make it impossible to hit ‘Reset’.
- Public scenario listings now show the correct published title, description, and updated values instead of the unpublished draft values—unless you own the scenario or adventure.
- Parental-locked content rating is now enforced against the published rating for non-owned saved scenarios, so a safe-rated draft can no longer sneak a higher-rated published Scenario past the lock.
- Read mode controls sit below the status bar again.
- Gameplay settings no longer get pushed off-screen when editing or selecting text.
- Home carousels no longer load in the wrong order.
- Published content is less likely to lose its cover image when an older image URL is missing. -The signup banner for Anonymous users will no longer push adventure controls off-screen.
- Subscriptions which do not actually offer free trials will no longer advertise that they do.
