π Fame System
πFame Systems (FS) is a dynamic fame and public recognition system for your AI Dungeon scenarios. Tired of AI Dungeon overlooking your character's fame and public status? You can be an aspiring musician trying to make a name for yourself, an established artist with a loyal following, or a global superstar, and the AI may still narrate the world as if none of that matters. Public appearances can feel inconsequential, strangers may fail to recognize a celebrity, and the consequences of success or failure can easily get lost in the story. Fame System is a lightweight script designed to help make fame feel like a meaningful part of your adventure. Instead of relying entirely on the AI to remember and consistently portray your character's public status, the script tracks a persistent fame score and provides the AI with additional context about your current level of recognition and the consequences of your public actions. β¦ Simple, but dynamic Fame System tracks your character's fame on a scale from 0 to 100. Your score determines your fame stage, influencing how widely you're recognized and how the AI should portray your public image. The system also introduces success and failure rolls for detected public actions. Your current fame influences your chances of success, while the outcome can increase or decrease your fame, allowing your public image to evolve throughout the adventure. π Six fame stages Your character progresses through six stages, each with its own narrative guidance: - Unknown: You're a complete unknown. Almost nobody recognizes you, and your work reaches very few people. - Local: You've started making a name for yourself in your local community or social circle. - Known: You're becoming a recognizable name, with a modest following and occasional public recognition. - Famous: You're widely recognized, with real fans, media attention, and a growing public presence. - Star: You're a major star. Public appearances attract attention, and privacy becomes increasingly difficult. - Superstar: You're a global celebrity whose actions can attract worldwide attention. As your fame rises or falls, the AI receives updated context to help reflect the change naturally in the story. π² Public actions and consequences Fame System uses configurable difficulty settings to determine the base chance of success for detected public actions. Your current fame then modifies that chance, meaning an established public figure has an advantage over someone just starting out. Successful actions increase your fame, while failed actions can damage your public image. The AI receives specific instructions to portray the outcome, helping public successes and failures have consequences instead of simply disappearing into the narration. The script also detects public actions described in English and Spanish. Its pattern-based detectors are still experimental, so some actions may not be recognized correctly, and future updates will expand their coverage. π Configurable to your adventure A dedicated Story Card lets you adjust the main settings, including your starting fame, difficulty, cooldown between rolls, language, and notifications. The fame stage and last roll are tracked automatically. Whether you're starting from absolute obscurity or playing an already established celebrity, you can adapt the system to fit your character and scenario. π Designed for stories about fame Fame System is especially suited to slice-of-life and career-focused adventures involving musicians, bands, streamers, influencers, actors, and other public figures. It's also useful for any scenario where public recognition and reputation should influence how the world reacts to the player. The goal isn't to dictate your story or force every scene to revolve around fame. It's to give the AI additional context when it matters, helping it portray your character's status and the consequences of public actions more consistently. Fame System is free to use and modify. You're welcome to adapt it for your own adventures or include it in your public scenarios. Credit to the original creator is appreciated. GitHub Link: https://github.com/Nynaleath555/Fame-System
