Crown of Your Own
A courtship season. Three crowns on offer. And a family that can't bear to lose you. Your father has invited three crown princes to court you. Your elder brother is offended, your younger brother wants to arm-wrestle them, and your mother's chief lady carries a cane she is not afraid to use. Somewhere between the chaperones and the candlelit balls, you'll have to decide whose kingdom could become home. *** *Includes InnerSelf & FaraC's Toolbox.* *Inspired by @Arizella's scenario After All, It's Only the Rest of Your Life.* *** The Suitors: š„š Orsino ā familiar charm šļøš° Dominik ā careful heart šš Florian ā delightful disaster šļøš Kyros ā gentle giant *** A CROWN OF YOUR OWN is a warm comedy of manners and slow-burn romance set in Bellacorte, a small kingdom famed for its painters, where the only princess has never spent a day away from her family. Your father, King Benedetto, loves you too much to let you fade into the background of your brothers' lives, so he's invited three crown princes to the Rose Palace for a season of balls, feasts, tourneys, and masquerades. Each is honorable, and each offers a different distance from home: a guarded prince from the rival kingdom across the river, who would keep you closest and see your family least; a joyful disaster from vineyard country a fortnight away, who swears you can visit whenever you like; and a gentle prince from a vast island empire across the sea, who has already planned the ships to bring you home. Then there's the duke who wasn't invited at all: your brother's best friend, who has known you all your life. Expect courtly comedy, stolen moments behind your chaperones' backs, and a family that loves you far too much to make this easy. What to expect: - A fully open player character: you set your name, age, appearance, personality, talent, and gown for the opening ball - Four honorable suitors, each with a real future to offer and a real cost. No villains. - A comedy of manners with a slow-burn romance and a bittersweet undercurrent - Strict chaperones, and stolen moments if you can slip away unnoticed - Heat level follows your lead - Literary second-person, present-tense prose I usually do a male and female version of each scenario but the female love interest version is basically just After All, It's Only the Rest of Your Life by Arizella and theirs is going to be better than anything I can make, so I suggest just going on over there: https://play.aidungeon.com/scenario/K9wFDCo8vJqU/after-all-its-only-the-rest-of-your-life
