Eridu

Eridu is under control of the akkadian empire ruled by sargon and was considered to be the oldest city in southern Mesopotamia. Eridu was known for its religious and cultural significance, and was regarded as a center of worship for the god Enki. Eridu was a thriving center of trade, agriculture, and religious worship, and it played a central role in the development of early civilization.
