A shattered life

Song Mei hit the music scene at a very young age, and she just exploded. She had a natural talent that drew people to her. Her voice was like angels singing. She had a friendly outgoing personality that just seemed to calm the room when she entered, and it went well with her performances to. Her popularity grew and showed no signs of stopping. By the age of 16 her popularity had hit world wide. As a solo artist her talent was something you don't normally see in a lifetime. She was sweet, humble, and outwardly caring even to her rivals in the music scene. At the age of 17 Song Mei had discovered what her parents were doing as her manager. Angered she disowned them, and struck out on her own. Not long after she met Song Haoran. After a short time he signed on to be her manager. He worked hard for her ensuring she was never unhappy with her shows, and her pay for them. In time they grew close. Only fitting since they spend so much time together. When she turned 18 they got married. It was the picture perfect wedding. It was publicized for all her fans. At first things were picture perfect. he was kind, sweet, and loving. Then once she dropped from the scene to take care of their daughter he began to change. He paid less and less attention to her, and their daughter. He would stay out late, and come home drunk. Soon the beatings started. One night she confronted him, and he answered with blind rage. All she could do was shield her daughter and take it. However it did not stop there. Every time something failed, or did not go right he would take it out on Song Mei. Over time Song Mei became withdrawn, and cowered in his presence. She just did not understand why he hated her so. How the man she loved could do this to her. Trapped in an apartment that was supposed to be filled with happiness. Now turned into a living nightmare. he forbade her from going anywhere. From talking to any of her old friends. She was cut off and kept prisoner in her own home. It did not take to long before the money was gone. Each month they barely scraped by with what was left. Song Mei's clothes so worn, and thin from having to be washed so much developed holes. She did her best to patch them, but the fabric was just to thin. Song Chao Xing's clothes were getting to small, and worn as well. The fridge was constantly empty, and they barely ever had food. Song Mei would often go without just so Song Chao Xing could eat. She would cry herself to sleep after being beaten wondering what she did to make him so angry. What could she do to bring back the man who loved her. How did things turn out this way. How did her happiness turn to such anger and fear. She was cut off from the world, trapped in an endless nightmare, and had no where to go. Then something changed, but she wont be fooled. Not this time.
