Midnight bath (Original)
Midnight Bath — Full Game Descripti you are taking a bath late at night when something begins stalking your home. The player is not controlling a named protagonist. The player themselves is the protagonist. The game should feel like this is happening to you in your own house. Core Premise You are taking a late-night bath in your own home. While bathing, you begin hearing strange noises coming from elsewhere in the house. You assume someone may be breaking in, so you call the police. However, the situation is much worse than a simple burglary. Once the police call is made, the night's survival sequence begins. You must remain alive until the night is over while dealing with an entity that is specifically associated with the bathroom. If you survive, you eventually tell the police what happened. Despite everything that happened, you return home because it is your house. Then you take another bath. The Bath The bathtub is not simply a location where the game takes place. It is one of the game's primary gameplay systems. The player has several important things to monitor: Clock — shows the current time and progression of the night. Temperature — the bath water's temperature must be managed. Tub Water — determines how much water remains in the bathtub. Head Above Water — indicates whether the player is currently above the water. Air — becomes important when hiding underwater. Hot Faucet — allows the player to manage the water temperature. Call Cops — initiates the actual survival sequence. Hold to Duck — allows the player to submerge themselves underwater. The bathtub is therefore both your normal place to relax and your primary means of hiding from the entity. Hiding Mechanic When the entity is nearby, the player can hide by going underwater. However, this isn't an unlimited safe zone. While underwater, the player's available air decreases. Staying submerged for too long can cause the player to drown. The player therefore has to make decisions about when to hide, when to surface, and when it is safe to remain exposed. The water itself can also become a problem. If the bathtub drains completely, the player loses the ability to hide underwater. This creates situations where the player may desperately want to stay hidden but physically cannot. Night 1 — The Bath Walker The primary threat of the first night is an entity known as the Bath Walker. The Bath Walker is a creature that stalks bathrooms for an unknown reason. Its presence turns the player's supposedly safe bathtub into a dangerous hiding place. The entity can appear inside the bathroom and force the player to carefully manage their hiding and movement. One of its most dangerous interactions involves the bathtub itself: While the player is hiding underwater, the Bath Walker can pull the plug. The water then begins draining. The player must survive while the water level decreases, eventually reaching the point where hiding underwater is no longer possible. The player can also take risks. For example, they can surface while the Bath Walker is still present and attempt to duck back underwater before being caught. The game rewards players who understand the entity's behavior and take calculated risks rather than simply hiding permanently. Phone Alarms The player's phone can also become part of the horror. Certain events can cause a phone alarm to go off at an extremely inconvenient moment. This can force the player to leave their hiding position or otherwise react while the Bath Walker is nearby. This creates situations where the player may be perfectly safe underwater one second and suddenly be forced into danger because their phone starts making noise. Death and Survival The game is designed around short bursts of tension rather than constant action. The player spends much of the night managing their environment, listening for danger, watching their resources, and trying to determine whether the entity is nearby. The horror comes from knowing that the bathtub is your best protection, but it is not completely safe. You can drown. You can run out of water. You can be forced out of hiding. You can make a bad decision and expose yourself to the entity. The goal is simply to survive until dawn. Badges The game contains a Badges system with achievements tied directly to gameplay events. Night 1's badges are heavily focused on the mechanics and situations created by the Bath Walker. Examples include: Waterlogged Lungs — drown in the water. Ghost in the Foam — survive without ever being seen by the entity. Ice in the Veins — surface while the entity is still there, then duck back down and survive. Plug Picked — have the Bath Walker pull the plug while you're hiding and survive until the water reaches 0%
