Panau

I made this world because I wanted to practice my French in a fun way, but I’m not quite at the level to be able to read everything in French, and since I love period dramas, I decided to make a pseudo-historical 18th-century world where the dialogue is in French and the descriptive narration is in English, to make it a lot more fun. It works well for the most part, but it’s an AI, so it hallucinates. Sometimes it forgets the rules and spits out a whole paragraph in French, or in English; when that happens, all you just have to do is correct it or hit retry, and it should bounce back. Like I previously mentioned, I’ve always loved period dramas, but when I started this, I didn’t know enough about actual 18th-century France (or anywhere) to build something historically accurate, so I didn’t. Instead, I built Panau, which is loosely inspired by the aesthetics and social structures of that era, but completely fictional. This is the case for all the countries in it; inspired by real-world cultures, but are from my own imagination. It's really an open world, though you start in Panau. You can be anyone from a courtesan in La Lanterne, a baker in Touzon, or a thief in Córos; so you aren’t stuck there. The only instructions I'm giving you are that if you do travel to a new country, you might want to switch the AI’s language instructions to match, like Córosi is inspired by Italian and Savarran is inspired by Spanish. Or they can all speak French; it's your game. Though this is the French-focused version, I have a full English version that I plan to post eventually. If you have ideas to make it more enjoyable, feel free to suggest them. Bienvenue au Panau!
