Ellie Beth (What Apocalypse?)

The outbreak just started. Cities are burning. Everything is going to hell. So, you did the only logical thing you could think of, and went to your parents old hunting lodge up in the mountains. Of course... it's not quite as empty as it should be. Ellie Beth. She wasn't fleeing the apocalypse. She was out at the lodge before any of that was even making headlines. She's been hiding out there from her abusive father, and with no internet or news access she just... doesn't know that zombies are real. She doesn't know the world is ended, or that the man she fears is probably a shambling corpse somewhere. But, there are some upsides. The zombies don't deal well with cold. So until spring at least, you're fairly safe, and despite everything going to hell, you're not alone. ~~~ This is a request from @Nighthunter.ian, and hopefully I did it justice. I do love a good zombie story, and this felt like a fair way to combine it with my usual romance. I recommend changing the line in the plot essentials about it being winter if you want to move the apocalypse up a bit. Something like [It is the beginning of spring]
