Regentist or Rebel

1612 Good king George of Carlisia has died. His 5 year old son has taken the throne. However a regent rules for him. The count of Mysau the current regent is corrupt. He has imposed ridiculous taxes on the western and southern duchys and county’s to pay off the highly mercantile eastern duchys. Then with a recent treaty with the Saric confederation cheap grain floods into the country. The west and south can no longer stand for it and openly revolt against the regent. The northern duchys follow suite after the regent orders conscription. The extremely independent northern county’s and duchys refuse and join the rebels.
