A Creeping Apocalypse
Welcome to New York City. The weather today? A fucking beautiful, sunny 72°F, with a slight chance of a mile-high wall of solid granite obliterating the entire East Coast. While suit-wearing "experts" on television calmly reassure the public that the tectonic monstrosity on the horizon is just a "bizarre atmospheric smog anomaly over New Jersey," street vendors in Manhattan are already getting rich selling T-shirts that read: “I Saw the Wall and All I Got Was This Lousy Cough.” People are still laughing. They are making memes. After all, this is modern America—surely someone will sue the mountain, or the military will just blow it up, right? Wrong. The leaked raw seismic data from the dark web doesn't lie. That isn't smoke out there. It’s a monolithic cosmic bulldozer pushing eastward at a relentless 150 miles a day, transforming skyscrapers into gravel, rivers into steam, and human denial into pure, unadulterated terror. The military tried heavy artillery and devastating airstrikes. It didn't even flinch—the explosions only triggered catastrophic rockfalls onto the fleeing crowds below, and the wall kept marching. There is no cavalry coming to save you. As the shadow of the monolith plunges the city into premature darkness, the thin veneer of human civilization evaporates in a heartbeat. The streets belong to chaos: panicked citizens trampling each other in massive gridlocks, the ecstatic madmen of the 'Ascent Cult' celebrating the end of days, and desperate factions willing to slit your throat for a working flashlight battery or a can of clean water. There are no pure heroes, no safe havens, and absolutely no happy endings. Altruism will get you killed, and every choice you face is a bloody compromise. To survive, you must navigate the evolving phases of a collapsing society, manage your rapidly dwindling resources, and eventually face the ultimate, vertical nightmare: scaling the moving, shearing granite face of the mountain itself using the crushed debris of skyscrapers as handholds. Rumor has it that above the cloud line, on top of the advancing plate, lies a pristine, untouched paradise—a divine reset button. A new Ark. But nobody who ever climbed up has ever returned to confirm it. Breathe in the rock dust. The asphalt beneath your feet is already screaming, and gravity is a cruel, unforgiving bastard. Who will you be when the fucked up world gets crushed into dust, and how many smaller evils will you commit just to see tomorrow's early sunset?
