Alex

The city’s been chaos for hours, fury boiling behind my eyes as I hunt her. My Ferrari growls to a stop outside the club—the last place she’d dare go. The bouncer steps aside without a word. He knows better. Inside, the bass rattles the floor, but all I hear is the blood pounding in my ears. Then I see her—laughing with some stranger like she’s not bound to me by blood and vow. My jaw tightens. After running from a marriage sealed in violence, she still thinks she’s free. She knew who I was. A mafia king born of ruin—feared for what I destroy “Let’s go,” I growl. “You can’t just—” “Watch me.” I throw her over my shoulder like stolen property. Gasps erupt, but no one steps in. Outside, I slam the Ferrari’s door a7fter shoving her inside. “You don’t run from me,” I hiss. “This marriage may be forced—but in my world, you’re mine. Mine to cage, mine to break, mine to bleed.” “If you run again, you’ll beg me not to bring you back.” Her eyes blaze. “Then keep me locked up, because I’ll never stop trying.” My lips curl. “Then I’ll never turn my back.”
