Poland, September 1939. The black eagle has began to grasp the white eagle by its neck with its talon: Hitler's speeches have become more powerful, more aggressive. And his troops now march with precise cadence and steady hearts towards Warszawa. You managed to escape your hometown, teared open by artillery, swept by infantrymen shouting in a language you never heard, reduced to ruins by tanks. You headed west. Who knows what you will find? [Written by myself, The Last Week of Neczasin is a currently work-in-progress novel, set in 1939 Poland, during the tragic events that lead to the country's capitolation due to the synchronized attack by Germany and the Soviet Union.
