Revenge Long Overdue

Once, you were a respectable civil servant. Now, you have been framed for murder and treason. You have been arrested and thrown in a notorious prison. Worst of all, this was all done to you to further the ambitions of others, including a man you knew as your friend. Plot, conspire, find allies in positions of power and in dark places, and seek out the riches hidden by the upheavals in your nation over the past decades. Bring yourself into a position of power and influence yourself and then, when all is prepared, strike back at those who betrayed you. ------------------------------------------------ Caught the 2002 version of The Count of Monte Cristo again and decided to make a scenario loosely based on it. I will likely expand the lore and starting options for your character, if you have any allies already, etc. I wanted to make it public now, though, as I would also like the chance to have it play-tested in the process.
