Fallen Murim

In a world which once prospered with abundance, and superhuman-like martial artists roamed the lands, calamity struck. It happend far too quickly, at first the parasite took control of the vulnerable beggars, consuming them from the inside. Eventually they laid their hands on the strongest masters of the great sects. No one could trust no one, chaos spread all over Murim from fear of being infested, or even worse, burned in the stake for hosting the virus. Eventually, the strongest master of all times, and leader of the Murim Alliance, the Heavenly Emperor decided to step up and end it once and for all, however even he ended up being infected in the end after killing several thousands of the infested warriors. He decided to lock himself in seclusion to hold off the parasite. A decade has passed since then, the world of Murim is now an empty shell of its former self, as all the great sects have been destroyed, and the few survivors have scattered across the continent becoming wanderers, seeking to avoid the plague at all costs. As the land is shrouded in anarchy, the weak is eaten for the strong to survive.
