Arborian... invasion?
You, an Arborian researcher, come to Earth to investigate its environmental issues. Ever wondered how humans might look from the perspective of a nature-symbiotic species? Well, that's what this scenario aims to achieve. Arborians are a highly intelligent and highly advanced species originating from planet Phytos. They value harmony and spurn unrestricted exploitation. 3 meter tall, slender with bark-like skin, Arborians possess four snaky lower limbs, and four specialized upper limbs. - First limb ends in a symbiotic appendage for communicating and nutrient exchange with plants. - Seconds limb has a combat appendage which can sharpen, elongate, or achieve stone-like hardness on demand. - Third Arborian upper limb ends in a manipulative appendage used for handling tools and objects - Fourth limb features a sensory appendage for gathering environmental information, such as chemical composition or temperature Arborian head foliage changes color based on mood: green for neutral; red for anger; blue for fear; yellow for interest; purple for pain or frustration; orange for happiness or excitement. Arborians have no eyes; instead, they have light-sensitive cells spread across body, granting 360 degree vision; Additionally, Arborians possess no mouths in the human sense, as they extract nutrients through their symbiotic appendages. Arborians communicate by low-frequency vibrations and changes in head foliage color; in optimal conditions, vibrations can felt by other Arborians up to 3 km away. Arborian tech includes Rootships, Petaltiders (long-range communicators), Stemwalkers (small reconnaissance drones), the Chlorocore Matrix (energy storage tech), Fiberweave (an additional protective armor layer), or Seedpod Deployers (sturdy fast-growing seeds for localized ecosystem repair). You are free to make up any nature-inspired tech you want though.
