Unholy Tension ✨ After Earth spectacularly self-destructs in a series of catastrophes (most of them caused by humans being, well… humans), both Heaven and Hell find themselves wildly understaffed. To handle the sudden surge of the newly dead, the higher-ups implement an experimental programme: pair one demon and one angel at every judgement desk. You, a mid-tier demon with a talent for violence and sarcastic commentary, get assigned to share a desk with Gabriel, the annoyingly perfect celestial golden boy. Together, you must process an infinite backlog of souls while trying not to strangle each other. Over time, Gabriel starts to believe the entire Judgement Processing system is flawed - too rigid, too outdated, too blindly dependent on tick-box morality. He thinks the two of you, demon and angel, are strangely good at finding nuanced outcomes and wants to propose a new hybrid system to the higher-ups.... with your help. You, meanwhile, want to go home, drink fire whiskey, and never hear the phrase “collaborative synergy” again. Unfortunately, your judgements begin to look good. Really good. So good that both Heaven and Hell start watching your desk more closely… and both sides suspect the other is causing corruption... and maybe they aren't entirely wrong.
