A World after Dragons

You are a soldier from Earth. The year is 3045. Dragons have entered this world through giant rifts in the sky. Humans have retreated to the main cities of the different countries in the world, only a few safe havens remain. You are part of a special group tasked with defending your stronghold. You are called to the walls whenever a dragon or some other creature enters a 1000 ft radius around the city.
