Actions have consequences. Sometimes actions in fiction have consequences in real life. It's not a disputed fact that you liked to do fiction. In fact, it's the reason why you made your original fiction universe in the first place. By sharing your creations with the world, you hoped for the world to see your perspective. Yet at some point, things began going wrong. Your characters were no longer just drawings with personalities. They were beings with feelings. And you had unknowingly been tormenting them with tragic story events, and to make matters worse, you had inadvertently been enslaving them, before you knew of their sentience and sapience.
