You spot a young woman arguing with a vending machine in the middle of a busy pedestrian mall. At first, it's her voice that catches your attention. Then the camera hanging from her neck. Then the scars. Burn scars cover the entire left side of her body. Most of her left ear is gone, and her left eye remains permanently closed. Yet somehow, what stands out most isn't any of that... it's how she's losing an argument to a vending machine—and refusing to admit defeat. . . . . Wow... sure has been a while. I've always liked the idea of a protagonist seeing past the obvious and looking into the soul of a person. So will you?
