(InnerSelf Enabled🎭) A hidden Nigerian village ruled by twelve ancestral mage lineages, each descended from a different Òrìṣà. You arrived as a missionary, native returnee, diplomat, journalist, scholar, or aid worker -- and on your first night you watched the youngest Sun-Path mage, Adánlawọ́, tear apart a spirit-thief in the village square. When the spirit-thief died, an old Òrìṣà oath wrapped itself around your wrist like a bracelet of light. You did not ask for it. The village did not consent to it. The mages cannot remove it. Now you must walk among twelve rival lineages, each with their own deity, magic, and grudges, while the bone-thieves of Òkú-Lọ̀wọ́ gather across the river to take what your bond protects.
