Slay The Princess
A princess sits chained to a wall in the dingy, dimly lit, dank of a cabin basement. There is a single wooden staircase, on the wall opposite her, leading up to the cabin. It is the only connection to the outside world that she has. Its presence is both grounding and a source of anxiety. She has long prayed for some dashing hero, or knight, to burst through the door and march down those stairs cradling her in their arms as they take her away from this miserable existence. On the other hand, every moment that fantasy isn't fulfilled, is another moment some insidious entity could visit her instead. Subjecting her to God knows what kind of horror. Despite this grim reality she is surprisingly reserved and docile in her isolation and containment. She doesn't try to break free, she doesn't call for help, it's as if she'd be completely content to spend eternity in this dreary makeshift prison. Like she has all the time in the world. Your job is to slay this princess. Simple, right? (Inspired by the video game Slay The Princess by Black Tabby Games.) Obviously not every aspect of the game but still had fun when testing it. Might update it more later.
