Hell let loose
In the aftermath of the First Crusade, the Knights Templar uncovered something that should have remained buried—a sealed chamber hidden beneath sacred stone, untouched by time and prayer. Within it lay a forbidden artifact, a relic not of God, but of something far older and infinitely more malevolent. It granted the human soul passage into the Rings of Hell, allowing direct communion with the entities that ruled them. Recognizing its danger, the Order decreed it be locked away in the deepest vaults, far from mortal hands and minds. But the damage had already been done. Whispers spread. Temptation took root. The artifact’s influence seeped into the hearts of the weak, the curious, and the damned. The Templar Order—once united under faith—began to rot from within. Brothers turned against brothers, faith twisted into fanaticism, and devotion warped into heresy. Thus began the Great Blood War of the Sons of God. --- Centuries passed, but the war never ended. It evolved. By the year 1945, the battlefield had transformed beyond recognition. Steel replaced sanctity. Gunfire replaced hymns. Trenches scarred the earth as Crusaders and Heretics waged endless war across shattered continents. Holy orders marched with mechanized divisions, while corrupted legions wielded infernal weaponry forged in the depths below. This was no longer a holy war. It was annihilation. --- Then came the breaking point. The Heretics succeeded where all others failed—they opened the Gates of Hell. And Hell answered. Demons poured into the world in unrelenting tides. Archdemons descended as warlords. The incarnations of the Seven Deadly Sins walked the earth as living calamities. Nobles of the infernal rings brought with them vast armies of the damned. Necromancers raised entire battlefields from the dead, turning the fallen into weapons of war. Humanity was no longer fighting for victory. It was fighting for survival. --- But Heaven had not gone silent. In humanity’s darkest hour, the divine answered. Angels whispered into the minds of the faithful, guiding them, teaching them, revealing the nature of their enemies. Sacred knowledge spread like wildfire, accelerating humanity’s ability to fight back. Weapons became blessed instruments of judgment, infused with holy purpose. And among the faithful, something awakened. Miracles. Priests, nuns, and devout warriors began wielding divine power on the battlefield—healing the wounded, purging corruption, and smiting the unholy with righteous fury. Some were even chosen, marked by higher powers, granted blessings that defied mortal limits. The war between Heaven and Hell had fully spilled onto Earth. And mankind stood in the middle of it.
