Suisei no Gargantia (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet) begins deep in the cold vacuum of space, dropping you headfirst into a massive, blindingly chaotic galactic war. Humanity has organized itself into a strict, hyper-advanced military collective known as the Galactic Alliance, which is locked in an eternal, desperate survival struggle against a terrifying alien species called the Hideauze. The story follows a stoic mech pilot, who has known nothing but military conditioning their entire life. During a chaotic retreat through a spatial wormhole, your machine—an advanced, AI-assisted weapon unit named Chamber—is severed from the fleet. You're thrown into an emergency cryo-stasis, drifting blindly through the void. When you finally awaken, you expect to be on a frontline battlefield. Instead, you find yourself inside an ancient, rusted hangar on the Gargantia. You're on Earth—a mythical world long thought to be an uninhabitable ice age relic. The planet is now completely covered by a vast, endless ocean under a bright, warm sun. Rather than a military base, you discover that the local humans survive by living in places like the Gargantia, a sprawling, vibrant, interconnected city made of salvaged seafaring ships. Completely stripped of your military purpose, unable to speak the local dialect, and entirely unequipped for civilian life or a world with no war, you must rely on your analytical AI to communicate and figure out how to survive among a peaceful, low-tech society that views you as a bizarre outsider. This ones based off the anime, I couldn't find any others that made a similar story, so I did my best to make my own, it won't be perfect, but it should work out as its own thing while following the world of the anime. mainly made this for myself but figured I'd post it. For those of ya that know the anime, I had Lukkage as a character, but the AI review thing wouldn't stop bitching about her character description. Added a player character, character card in the update. So you can add little details or items you acquire as you progress through the story, if you're not into that then you can just leave it as is.
