Someone Came Back
It's supposed to be a simple drive home. After hours on the road, you, your girlfriend Maggie, and your friend Duncan are deep in an isolated stretch of woodland with no towns, houses, or other cars anywhere nearby. Everyone is tired, the conversation has become increasingly aimless, and the darkness outside seems to stretch on forever. Then a deer runs into the road. The crash leaves your car badly damaged and stranded in the middle of nowhere. None of you are seriously hurt, but the nearest help is miles away, your phones have little to no signal, and the surrounding woods are almost completely silent. Duncan goes to check on the deer. A few minutes later, he comes back. At first, everything seems normal. But as the night continues, small things begin to feel... wrong. Nothing obvious enough to explain. Nothing you can immediately point to. Just little moments that make you wonder whether exhaustion and the shock of the crash are affecting your judgment. With no one else around and no easy way out, you and Maggie are left with a simple problem: Get home. And trust the people you're with.
