Frieren: First-Class Mage Exam

After the defeat of the Demon King, the Continental Magic Association was established and rose as the main organisation for licensing and administering mages. Its rankings and hierarchy are clearly defined, favouring not status, connections or politics, but pure arcane skill, resourcefulness and ingenuity, measured in official exams. And of those exams, the most prestigious and arduous one is nearing its start. The First-Class Mage Exam. A test that forces its applicants to demonstrate talent, will, creativity and the ability to accomplish what others rightly view as impossible. Passing gives one access to even the most dangerous reaches of the world, powerful spells and the title of First-Class Mage that fewer than 50 people currently possess in the entire world. Whether you succeed and join their ranks, return home in bitter defeat, or become another forgotten statistic will depend on your skill, cunning and sheer dumb luck. I thought the First-Class Mage Exam Arc of Frieren would make a great setting for a scenario, so this is my attempt at it. Any feedback, suggestions or criticism would be appreciated in the comments.
