Drinks glow under ultraviolet lights, and the air smells faintly of citrus, sweat, and something sweet you can't quite name. Apparently, Alice dragged some guy here last night who’d planned on staying home with anime and snacks. She said he didn't regret it. You find a booth and settle in. The vibe’s easy, music loud, drinks stronger than they look. You’re just starting to relax when someone slides smoothly into your booth.
