So, basically, if you've read 'The Last Dragon on Mars', you'll understand. This is basically the second book, but minus the Moon Phobos's dragoon dying. Lunar Jones, the character you'll be playing as, lives in a relocation clinic on Mars, goes out on a scavenging trip, gets knifed, and gets stitched up by a random person, also known as Procter. Lunar wakes up, and there's a GIANT dust storm, heading right for him. He runs to the Restricted Section, goes down a sewer pipe, and finds a GIANT FREAKING DRAGON, named Dread. Lunar does not yet know that this dragon is the second coming of Ares, the dragon that the humans killed to make Mars safe, because if Gaia, Earth's dragon, sacrificed herself to make humans, then why couldn't another dragon do the same? The answer is, drumroll, please! A SENSE OF SELF-PRESERVATION, dumbasses! (Not you, the humans in the book) So, basically, when Ares established that he wouldn't kill himself for a bunch of lazy assholes, they killed him. And a couple hundred years later, Dread popped up, bonded with Lunar, and, DESPITE EVERYTHING, saved the humans from being murdered.
