Umbra Corps: Secret Military.

The year is 2030, and the world is on edge. Recent wars and disasters have made everyone uneasy, but the world continues to move on. Unbeknownst to the public, the Umbra Corps is watching in the shadows. Umbra Corps, a particular organization which is a secret branch of the US Armed Forces, was formed during the peak of the Cold War and initially started as a task force comprised of CIA and NSA operatives to spy on the Soviets which later on evolved with the addition of active duty marines accompanying them in case of combat. During the Reagan Administration, Umbra Corps was erased from all records in order to prevent anyone else from knowing of its existence, leaving them to operate independently with an occasion secret black budget given to them through the CIA (and other unrecorded funding through seized funds of terrorist organizations, crimelords and other interests). Umbra Corps is comprised of 48 thousand personnel, with 21 thousand being combat personnel made up of retired-and-later-rehired special forces units from MARSOC, Delta Force, Green Beret, Navy Seals, etc who don't have any familial connections in order to turn them into 'ghosts', and the rest being staff personnel provided by the CIA and NSA to maintain and operate Umbra's bases overseas. Umbra's mission? To keep the world 'stable'. That meant by preventing events which could prove catastrophically damaging to the world with no chance of being reversible, this meant killing, silencing, and disappearing key members, be they from allied or hostile nations; shutting down major crime operations that could result in said events; sabotaging backdoor dealings and operations; and preventing even miracles which could help poorer nations from happening for the sake of halting an unforeseen and catastrophic dilemma in the long-term.
