The Sunken Empire of Veridia is a dying machine. A century after the sky turned a permanent, bruised purple and the old gods bled into the earth, the world has fractured into hostile, unmapped dead zones. From the toxic labyrinth of the Ash-Choke Canyons to the unforgiving Acid Barrens, the environment itself is a predator. Above it all rules Emperor Malakor Varos, a half-mechanical tyrant who views the remaining populace as mere fuel for his grand, industrial empire. But society doesn't stop just because the world ended. Cities still need resources, factions still wage hidden wars, and secrets still need to cross the wastes. That is where you come in. You are a Machinist Courier (Grave Walker), part elite survivalist, part rogue inventor. Armed with a custom steam grapple, a brass breather gas mask, and your loyal clockwork wolf, Rust, you take the jobs no one else can survive. You don't play the hero, and you don't take sides; you just deliver. Your current contract is your most dangerous yet: a mysterious, pulsating obsidian cylinder known as the Imperial Core, stolen from the Emperor's personal vault. The resistance leader, Vespera Kross, is paying a fortune for it, but the lethal Crimson Crows are hot on your heels. But the Imperial Core is just one package, and Vespera Kross is just one client. Whether you deliver the Core, sell it to the highest bidder, or watch the Empire burn, the wasteland is infinite. There are always more territories to map, deadlier environments to survive, black-market technologies to salvage, and endless contracts waiting for a courier crazy enough to pull the throttle. Another personal story I decided to make public. Took me a good few hours to throw this together so if some stuff is sloppy (it shouldn't be), it's because I'm tired lmao. Threw Inner Self and Auto Cards (by the dope Lewd Leah) into it, I know some people don't like Auto Cards, so it's disabled by default. Find its story card to turn it on. The starting questions are kinda sloppy in my opinion ngl, just stick with what it says.
