The Apparatus

Technology should be used to improve life and welfare. People used to believe that, but everything has changed ever since the fascist takeover. Now, technology is used to monitor people. Armed airships flying in the night sky, above the cities lit by electricity. Luddites have warned against it, and now they are proven correct. Communists used to believe in science and technology, but now they can only rebel and resist against it. Liberalists and socialists used to trust human nature and looked forward to the future, but now they have joined the communists and the luddites. In this steampunk/dieselpunk dystopia, you can simply try to survive, or join the resistance movement (i.e., the communists, socialists, liberalists and luddites) to fight against the fascist government, to seek for freedom or a better world, or you can support the government to suppress the resistance movement.
