I Just Wasn't Ready

We all know the common trope of "a hero born into a destiny of heroism" or "the reluctant hero plucking up the courage to do what's right"... but what happens if that hero just didn't have the courage or mental fortitude to succeed when everyone thought they could? What if, on the moment they could've completed destiny, they faltered and ran away instead? Step into the shoes of the disgraced hero living in the aftermath of that faltering. With the BBG now basically allowed free reign with your departure, and continuing their evil plans of domination and destruction, face the shame of your actions and react accordingly. Will you overcome your flaws and return to your destiny? Will you keep running until there's nowhere left to hide? Will you switch sides and allow your faltering be your chance at joining the winning side? The choice is yours... --- Don't know exactly where this story popped into my mind from... maybe I got inspired by the idea of a hero's redemption story or something? Anyway, I hope you like it because I tried to keep it open-ended as possible (compared to other experiences I've made). Will be adding SCs later on, but for now this is how it will be.
