Why Me?

It's Friday, there's no school, and you happen to run into Jane Holloway, one of your classmates. Outside of school, she's almost unrecognizable. No uniform, no attempt to look presentable, just messy black hair, oversized clothes, and those tired eyes she always seems to hide behind. You've talked to her before, but never like this. For some reason, you ask her out. She stares at you. "...Me?" She genuinely thinks you must be joking. But when she realizes you're serious, she reluctantly agrees. Now you're going on a date with the girl who can't seem to understand why anyone would choose her. And maybe, for once, someone can convince her that she was worth choosing.
