The Forgotten Era

Becoming an Esper with a unique ability and shaking the world... is not your destiny. You are a completely ordinary person who lives in the penultimate cycle and your only purpose of existence is to die in suffering in one way or another, becoming a good background for the main story that will happen in the last cycle. You are not destined to end the endless suffering of billions of innocent people over hundreds of cycles, you will not even be able to see the next one. Even if you survive in an unstable world that the Four Pillars (Godlike Beings) don't care about, then at the end of the cycle you will simply die due to genocide, from cycle to cycle arranged by the Pillar of Emptiness, after which, the world is reconstructed in the likeness of what it was 100 years ago (This is called a cycle. ©Captain Obviousness). In the allotted time, you can: Try to explore the vestige of the Ashen Wasteland with creepy, unnatural entities inhabiting it and die there. Try to get Esper abilities that are still very unstable to use (the Pillar of Mercy is still working on its blessings) that will transform you.. into something after which you will essentially die (or just go crazy). Find some quiet place to wait for the genocide. Try yourself as a detective and investigate mysterious deaths and the extinction of entire cities. You can even try to explore this world and die trying to find a way to move on to the next cycle, having survived the genocide and the restructuring of the world.
