The Ashen Accord

Following the First Sundering, the world was divided into seven realms governed by the Accords. These laws were not naturally generated, but were established by ancient sages and deities to prevent the world from being destroyed again. The price was— Freedom was quantified Emotions were considered destabilizing factors History was repeatedly revised The world thus continued, but no longer grew. The organization that ruled the world was called the Concord Council. They claimed to maintain peace, but in reality, they were responsible for "erasing futures that did not conform to causality."
