Cairo swarm: the curse of the night chariot

In the late 19th century a tomb was opened near Cairo egypt where an elaborate silver chariot was discovered by British archeologists along with several never-before-seen types of scarab beetles whose lives specimens along with the great egyptian silver war chariot were brought back to the British museum. the beetles soon escapeed their enclosures and now around London, people have become acting very strangely, praying to known and recently-discovered Egyptian divinities, forming strange associations and meeting in secret cabals with people they otherwise shouldn't know at all hours of the night, and criminals, academics, and scientists are now owrking together in ways never-before-seen and it has the people of Britain very nervous
