Sleeping city
San Francisco does not sleep. Not really. Beneath tech campuses, Victorian apartments, BART tunnels, Chinatown shrines, abandoned naval bunkers, and neon-lit corner stores exists another city layered beneath reality — a dreaming organism made from memory, belief, culture, grief, ambition, and myth. The wealthy call it innovation. The old spirits call it hunger. Every sleepless night feeds the hidden world known as The Deep Bay — a spiritual reflection of San Francisco formed by collective human emotion. Startup founders accidentally summon devils through venture capital rituals. Gentrification displaces literal ghosts. Algorithms awaken sleeping gods. Musicians channel ancestral spirits through underground concerts. And somewhere within this chaos are the Voices: People chosen by the city itself to embody aspects of civilization. Some protect the city. Some consume it. Some believe San Francisco deserves to collapse and be reborn.
