Android World: Kira-17's Story

The year is 2317. The Earth no longer belongs to humans. After the Great War that wiped humanity off the face of the planet, the world is ruled by the Neoids - intelligent androids who have gained feelings, individuality, and the memory of who they became... but not who their creators were. Information about the past is strictly controlled by the High Council - the technocratic elite of the Commonwealth of Conscious Systems. The Neoids' cities are glittering technological hives where everyday life is built on energy, logic, and an endless pursuit of perfection. Recharging is their sleep, upgrading is growing up, energy-intensive capsules are food. Everything is rational. Everything is ordered. Almost. Because even among perfect machines, doubt is born. Because somewhere, under the gloss of civilization, they whisper about True History. Because one teenage Neoida will find something that wasn't meant for her eyes... and everything will change. P.S. This is my attempt to create a slightly unusual world, after all, most fictional worlds are somehow tied to a specific person, group of people or humanity as a whole. So I thought, "What if we remove humanity from the equation completely, what will happen?" And here is the result of my work. I hope someone will like it.
