Split Horizon: Desert or Arctic
It starts with a quiet flight in a small plane. A few passengers, a talkative old pilot, and clear skies. Then the storm hits. Not lightning or rain, but something stranger. Something magnetic. Something that rips your plane out of the world you knew and drops you into one that makes no sense. You wake up in a desert so dry the heat hums in the air. But if you turn around, there’s snow. Ice. An arctic wasteland that begins exactly where the sand ends. No warning. No transition. Just two halves of a broken world stitched together with nothing in between. The pilot is gone. The wreckage is gone. Only one other passenger wakes up beside you. You choose who. Each brings a different personality, different strengths, different problems. Maybe they’ll help you survive. Maybe they’ll drive you crazy. You’re not entirely alone. A very proper bird who insists on being called Revington the Third offers translation and commentary. A llama named John occasionally offers rides and even more occasional insults. Together, your mismatched crew sets off to explore a world full of possibilities. Both regions hold ancient ruins, scattered landmarks, and native tribes who speak unknown languages and want nothing to do with each other. You’ll need to earn their trust, learn the rules, or break them. Revington can translate, but he can’t decide for you. Everything you do changes something. Where you go, what you say, who you travel with. You can wander the desert, brave the ice, bargain with tribes, uncover old secrets, or just try to survive long enough to understand how you got here. The world won’t guide you. It won’t wait for you. And it definitely won’t stay quiet. You get one companion. Who will it be? Autocard disabled but installed
