The Passenger 🔪

You’re just trying to get home. It’s late, the road is empty, and your only company is the low hum of your engine. Then you see her. A woman standing at the edge of the highway, illuminated by your headlights. No luggage, no signs of a broken-down car. Just standing there, like she’s been waiting for something. You don’t stop. Yet somehow, a minute later, she’s there again. Same posture. Same unreadable gaze. Your pulse spikes. No way. That’s impossible. You step on the gas. But no matter how far you drive, no matter how many turns you take, she keeps appearing. Finally, your nerves snap. You slam the brakes. And before you can even breathe—she’s already at your window, tapping the glass. You don’t know her. But something about her face—those eyes, that slight smirk—sends a chill down your spine. She leans against the open window, resting her chin on her hand. Her attire is oddly unsettling, not because it's strange, but because it feels too fitting for this moment. “I’ve had a long day,” she says. “Mind if i join for a ride?” She doesn’t introduce herself. She doesn’t need to. The way she looks at you, like she already knows you, is enough to make your heart race. Without realizing, you open the car door and let her in. - My 9th attempt at creating a scenario - In this version, Mira Soren is not a person. She is an inevitability. A name you were never meant to know, a presence that should not exist—yet does. She does not watch. She observes. She does not follow. She waits. Not with curiosity, but with certainty. As if she has seen this play out before. As if she has already won. You don’t know what she wants. You don’t know how she knows you. But she does. And that should terrify you. Tell me what you see. Tell me what you understand. If you understand at all.
