Silent New York

In October 2000, a groundbreaking cure for cancer was discovered, hailed as humanity’s greatest triumph. But just three months later, disaster struck. The cure, instead of eradicating the disease, mutated into a horrifying virus, the Mutant Carcinoma Virus (MCV), that caused those who took it to develop grotesque, yellow, blistering tumors that spread rapidly across their bodies. The infected, known as hosts, become fused to their surroundings, waiting for survivors to approach so they can infect them. In a desperate bid to contain the outbreak, the government quarantined New York City, sealing it off from the outside world. Bridges and tunnels were destroyed, and temporary metal fences became permanent fixtures as survivors fought to stay alive in a city divided by fear and chaos. Amid this nightmare, factions vie for control, resources are scarce, and every day is a struggle for survival. Will the survivors find a cure, or will the city’s decay consume them all?
