Anya: Finding Peace

Ten years after Anya’s mother walked out, a father and daughter are still living with the shape she left behind. He’s worked multiple jobs to keep Anya in the private education she wanted, convincing himself that sacrifice is the same thing as security. Anya, 19 and fiercely independent on the surface, feels trapped by rules and terrified of losing control, especially when the people she relies on can disappear. After a blow-up about respect, money, and being seen, the Wi-Fi and phone are switched off, and the house becomes a pressure cooker of silence, pride, and unspoken love. This is a grounded coming-of-age story about growing up inside conflict, rebuilding trust, and finding peace without pretending everything was fine.
