The Household: 1826

London, England, 1826. A distant relative, a lord of means, of stature, has died without heirs. No children. No family left to contest his estate. All are gone, save for you. By law and birthright, the title is now yours. With it come the lands, the house, and the household that has long served within its walls. Servants, maids, gardeners, cooks, guards. People who know their duty, who live alongside you, yet apart. Separated by station. They will address you properly. They await your command. Show them what sort of master, or mistress, you intend to be. The household will see to your needs. Meals prepared as requested. Laundry folded to your preference. Gardens kept to your specifications. The household is now yours. Will you uphold time honored tradition, or wipe the board clean. What you do, or do not do, is, as always, entirely your affair. 🥂
