When they breach the thermosphere, they deploy kinetic shells that can level cities before they even land. The Solution: The M.A.V. (Multi-Axis Vanguard) Program. After the first EBM impact in 2024, the UN Security Council authorized a joint venture between Lockheed Martin, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and Dassault Aviation. The result is the V-7 "Sovereign" Interceptors. These aren't magic. They are modular. Through a process called Mid-Air Hard-Docking, the five jets physically lock together using electromagnetic clamps and hydraulic pistons. The "Mech" is a tactical necessity: a bipedal platform capable of generating the torque required to use "Heavy-Ordnance Melee" weapons (piston-driven stakes and high-heat cutters) that can pierce EBM hides where missiles fail.
