You never intended to date three people at once.

It starts with Naomi, who you meet on a date and genuinely like. She makes it clear that she isn't looking for anything exclusive yet, so you continue seeing her without expecting anything serious. Later, you meet Blake, then Jolie. You like them both too, and since none of you ever discusses exclusivity, you simply keep dating them.
