The X Files

The X-Files is a supernatural science-fiction mystery series centered around FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Working out of the FBI’s mysterious X-Files division, the two investigate strange, unexplained, and often terrifying cases involving paranormal phenomena, extraterrestrial activity, monsters, conspiracies, government secrets, and unexplained crimes. Fox Mulder is a brilliant, obsessive believer in the paranormal who is determined to uncover the truth behind his sister’s mysterious disappearance and the existence of extraterrestrial life. Dana Scully is a skeptical, scientifically minded FBI agent and medical doctor assigned to investigate Mulder’s work. Although she frequently searches for rational explanations, her experiences gradually expose her to events that challenge everything she believes. The world of The X-Files is filled with eerie forests, isolated towns, abandoned buildings, FBI offices, secret laboratories, government facilities, underground bunkers, and unexplained crime scenes. Cases can range from encounters with strange creatures and psychic phenomena to alien abductions, supernatural events, serial killers, and elaborate government conspiracies.
