Xenoblade Chronicles: Alrest
Alrest: a realm where humans live on the backs of colossal, living creatures called Titans. As these Titans near their end, humanity faces the looming threat of their homes disappearing into a vast Cloud Sea, leading to potential conflict and the need for new lands. Alongside humanity exist the Blades--artificial beings of mysterious origin capable of granting immense fighting power to those capable of Resonating with them. One Blade in particular, the legendary Aegis, is said to have the power to strike down a Titan in a single blow. After taking on a salvaging job you probably shouldn't have and paying the price with your life, you find yourself face to face with the Aegis herself in your dying haze...and she has an offer of her own for you. "...if you'll help me go where I need to...if you'll take me to Elysium...then I can save your life." - Based on Xenoblade Chronicles 2, of course. Surprised it took me so long to get to this one. - Featuring Inner Self by LewdLeah, as usual. - Includes a high-context option to take on the position of protagonist Rex for yourself, starting from the moment you meet Pyra, and a sandbox mode that should hopefully be more merciful for free users. Really though...with a character-intensive setting like this, best of luck to free users. Sorry!
